Winter Makeup Du Jour --Lancome Color Design Shadow

I scored this Lancome palette last year, but it wasn't until this October that I realized its powers. They were smooth, pigmented, and came in a perfect color selection for winter. With the sparkling black (The New Black) and the metallic silver (Style Section) you can create a gorgeous smokey eye. Color Du Jour (the golden purple shade) works well with practically anything!

Kevin Murphy Color Bug!

I payed my local salon a trip, only to come across this amazing product: Kevin Murphy Color Bug. I was totally in awe when I saw this. It's described as "color makeup for your hair". Kevin Murphy wanted to create it with makeup and foundation in mind. You set your foundation with powder, you set your hair with this! I swatched each shade and they all are super pigmented and gorgeous! I'm saving up for these before Halloween. They'd complete any costume! Each bug costs $20-$25, depending on where you purchase, but it seems as if the bug lasts forever.
This sphere holds a flamboyant powder that is meant to temporarily color your hair. Available in a vivid tangerine, magenta, and a loud purple (shown -->), this pigmented powder is meant to be brushed through the hair. Dampen your hair and apply the powder on the damp areas. For increased pigmentation, use a thickening product before using Color Bug. Intensify the color by applying more. Color without commitment? Yes, please! It washes out immediatly with your everyday shampoo. Don't forget to wrap a towel around your neck or wear "bad clothes" when applying to avoid staining clothes.
