Stick-on Beauty Products: Trendy or Tacky?

Lately I've been seeing tons of "stick-on" beauty products. Companies began to sell eyeshadow "stickers", and soon after Sally Hansen launched stick-on nail polish. Now, brands like Dior are selling  adhesive eyeliner appliqués. A set of four Dior Velvet Eyes Backstage Eyeliners-To-Wear Multi-Wear Adhesive Eyeliner Patches retails for just under $60! Okay, sure...they have glitter at the end of the wing, but for half the price of stick-ons, I could buy an excellent liquid liner and get 100s of beautiful eye looks out of them! I admit, they're kind of cool, but when I'm getting money from lawn mows and the occasional babysitting gig, I don't have that kind of money to waste. And $30 for 10 perfect shadow applications? No way!
